Marcum Technology Announces Strategic Partnership with MobileIron

Marcum Technology is proud to announce its partnership with MobileIron. Acting as the security and applications backbone for the modern end-user, MobileIron provides the foundation for companies that are looking to protect their corporate information and also securely deliver apps and content.

MobileIron is focused on building innovative solutions that enable organizations to embrace Mobile and Cloud solutions to drive business efficiency and growth.

The MobileIron platform was built to secure and manage modern operating systems in a world of mixed-use devices. It incorporates identity, context, and privacy enforcement to set the appropriate level of access to enterprise data and services. MobileIron secures data-at-rest on the device, in apps, and in cloud storage, and secures data-in-motion as it moves between the corporate network, devices, and cloud storage. With MobileIron, IT can secure corporate information wherever it lives while preserving employee privacy.

The MobileIron platform is composed of four integrated and distributed software components:

  • MobileIron Core/Cloud: Integrates with backend enterprise IT systems and enables IT to define security and management policies for mobile apps, content and devices. MobileIron Core & Cloud enable Mobile Device Management (MDM), Mobile Application Management (MAM), and Mobile Content Management (MCM).
  • MobileIron Sentry: An in-line gateway that manages, encrypts, and secures traffic between the mobile device and back-end enterprise systems. Sentry addresses three fundamental requirements: mobile security, scalability, and user experience.
  • MobileIron Client: Called Mobile@Work, employees download the MobileIron app and it automatically configures the device to function in an enterprise environment by enforcing the configuration and security policies set by the IT department. The secure MobileIron container protects enterprise data and applications.
  • MobileIron Access: The latest addition to the company's portfolio of security features for protecting corporate data, MobileIron Access establishes a new security requirement: only trusted apps on trusted devices with trusted users should be able to access corporate data in the cloud. Access bridges the gap between mobile and cloud security.
