A risk management firm specializing in life contingent assets selects Marcum Technology to migrate aging physical servers from their current location to a new Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)
Marcum Technology was given the opportunity to complete a project for a risk management firm specializing in life contingent assets. The main goal of the project was to migrate aging physical servers from their current location to a new Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) design hosted by Marcum. Marcum is providing 24x7 monitoring and 12x5 user support to ensure all critical business applications are online and performing as expected.
During the process Marcum Technology completed the following:
- Converted existing physical infrastructure to virtual machines.
- Established Site2Site connectivity for migration of servers.
- Migrated completely to a fully virtual environment.
- Established Backup and DR recoverability utilizing Veeam and Zerto.
- Provided a 5 minute RTO for all critical servers.
With Marcum Technology's customized monitoring and remote support programs we were able to ensure the client's critical systems were highly available and that support is always willing and able to step in if a need arises.
Marcum Technology was also engaged to provide Software Development Services. The first goal of the Software Development project was to assess the current state of the client's software. The second goal was to engage in software development to expand the usage of the core suite of applications (e.g., Underwriting, Business Workflow, Transfer Utility, etc.). The third goal was to provide a maintenance plan for the core suite of applications.
Also, Marcum Technology was also able to assist the client with modernizing their customer's main website. This enhancement helped the company's digital presence as well as ensured that potential clients could access their page.
Marcum completed all projects successfully and allowed the client team to do what they do best for their institutional investors – successfully invest in life contingent assets.
